Federal government of Nigeria has extended the date of closing NIN enrollment from 30-December to 19- January 2021.

The Minister of communication and digital economy Dr. Isa Ali Pantami has approved the extension of the data through NIMIC

According to the NIMIC through there twitter handle in a post titled

 Extension of NIN-SIM integration period and cancellation of USSD verification fee.

Has made the information available after a meeting chierd by the honorable minister that the date has extended till January and the verification of USSD fee has been cancelled. 

.

In the other statement by the agency the extension has become necessary as some enrollment centres shoot down due to increase in number of covid-19.

He also explained that people are not observing the covid-19 protocol.

During the meeting all managers of telecommunications are present.

The extension will give all Nigerian a chance to get there lines enrolled.
