Olabisi Onabanjo University is a state University formally known as Ogun State University, located in Ago iwoye, whose current Vice Chancellor is Prof. Ganiyu Olatunji Olatunde.

Over the years, OOU has admitted so many student who passed their post UTME exceedingly well, not only admitted but also give their desired courses.

As an aspirant of the prestigious school, you don’t have to pass the Post UTME alone but perform excellently well in UTME.

WHAT IF MY UTME SCORE IS NOT HIGH?

If your UTME score is not that high, you need to prepare very well for the PUTME and must have scored 160, the General cut off mark or above in UTME examination exercise.

On this note, let’s quickly discuss how to pass OOU POST UTME exam 2022/2023

HOW TO PASS OOU POST UTME EXAMINATION 2022/2023

Firstly; Consider Your Jamb Score: So many aspirants fill in for courses without considering their jamb scores, though some courses do not need high scores in jamb, such as the ones under Faculty of Education and on the other hand, you can’t fill in for some high competitive courses with low JAMB score, such as Law, Medicine and Surgery and some other Engineering related courses.

As clearly stated above, for example, when a student scored 190 in jamb and he/she wants to study one of these competitive courses mentioned above he/she is likely not be admitted.

Also, some aspirants do surf the internet to check out cutoff marks for different faculty or department, this is unadvisable because the cut off marks of are by the performance of the students i.e the pass rates in post UTME.

Secondly; Do Not Buy Any Past Questions titled OOU past questions:

Scores like 70+ as an aggregate should be enough depending on your departmental cut off Mark.

So in the process of preparation, do not buy any past questions either in the school or outside the school because OOU has been strict with their post UTME questions, they never release their questions to the public even after the examination.

Many aspirants make this mistake to buy past questions and put in their attention on it alone and subsequently failed. So, it is advisable to read your Jamb past questions all over again and study your current affairs both the school current affairs and Nigeria as a whole. Also, include Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning in your preparation because your will be tested in those areas too.

Nevertheless, for Law aspirants, you must study English, Government, Literature, Current Affairs, Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning, this is applicable to the other departments too, which means your jamb subject, current affairs and Quantitative and Verbal Reasoning.

Thirdly; Be Around the School Environment:

It is advisable for you to travel down to the school environment in some months before the examination and also attend tutorial because most of the Tutorials are owned and managed by the students of the school who have written and passed excellently well in their post UTME.

How many questions does OOU ask in their Post UTME?

Finally, OOU PUTME comprises 50 questions for the period of thirty minutes, this means that you have to be smart, fast and accurate in the picking your answers during the examination so as to attempt all questions.

Wish you all good luck!!!
